Goombi Wind Farm Community Update November 2025
Hello everyone,
It’s been another busy and rewarding few months for the Goombi Wind Farm team! We’ve really appreciated the chance to connect with so many locals through our Coffee and a Chat mornings, community events, and sponsorship program.
Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening — and what’s coming up before the year wraps up.
Coffee and a Chat
Over the past couple of months, we’ve enjoyed catching up with locals at our Coffee and a Chat mornings in both Miles and Chinchilla.
The Miles session at the Creek Café and the Chinchilla catch-up at the RSL were both well attended, and it’s been fantastic hearing your thoughts, ideas, and feedback about what’s happening in the community.
Our final Coffee and a Chat for 2025 will be held in Miles on:

From 9:30am – 11am
Pop in for a cuppa, a chat, and a chance to meet the team — we’d love to see you there!
Community Sponsorship Program
The latest round of our Community Sponsorship Program has now closed, and we’ve been busy assessing all the fantastic applications received.

In the meantime, we’ve loved seeing the updates rolling in from groups funded in our previous April 2025 round. The photos and stories show just how much of a difference this support has made — from new club equipment and facility upgrades to vibrant community events.

Goombi Wind Farm – Development Application Update
Our project team is in the final stages of preparing the Development Application (DA) for the Goombi Wind Farm.
We’re aiming to submit the application by the end of 2025 and look forward to keeping the community updated as the project progresses.
