Local contractor and supplier opportunities
Goombi Renewable Energy Hub is currently seeking expressions of interest from local supplier and contractors for future procurement opportunities in the region.
Local businesses are encouraged to complete our ‘2026 Wind Farm Capability Mapping Survey’ by clicking the link below. The survey is intended to support local and regional business participation by improving the visibility of local businesses during contractor procurement planning and ensuring they are considered early, prior to the finalisation of work packages.
The Goombi Renewable Energy Hub is currently progressing through planning and approvals. Subject to approvals, construction is anticipated to commence from 2027, with procurement activities staged progressively in advance of and during construction.
As the Project progresses:
Principal contractors will be appointed and required to engage with local and regional suppliers;
Further briefings and engagement opportunities will be provided as work packages are defined; and
Updates will be shared on Project timing, procurement pathways and local participation outcomes.
Please complete the survey below to formally register your interest.
Local supplier/contractor capacity mapping
This questionnaire supports local and regional business participation by improving the visibility of local suppliers during contractor procurement planning and ensuring they are considered early, prior to the finalisation of work packages.
Goombi Energy Holdings will require principal contractors to apply best-efforts approaches to identify, consider and engage suitably qualified local and regional suppliers, consistent with the Project’s social impact and community benefit commitments. Contractors will be expected to demonstrate consideration of local businesses and support reporting on participation outcomes.
These commitments form part of the Project’s broader social impact framework, including local employment and training, First Nations participation, and long-term community benefit initiatives. Information collected will be used to develop a local and regional supplier capability register, inform procurement packaging and sequencing, align work scopes with local business capabilities, and support monitoring and reporting of local procurement outcomes.
All information will be managed in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements and will not be used for marketing purposes.
