First Nations Engagement
The Goombi Renewable Energy Hub is located on the traditional lands of the Barunggam People and the Iman People, and we acknowledge their deep and enduring connection to Country. We are committed to genuine, respectful, and ongoing engagement with both Traditional Owner groups throughout all phases of the project, from planning and approvals through to construction and operation.
We recognise the importance of creating lasting economic benefits for First Nations people. As the project moves towards construction, there will be opportunities for First Nations owned businesses, contractors, and community members to participate in procurement, employment, and training programs linked to the Project.
We encourage First Nations businesses and individuals to register their interest and stay connected as these opportunities are announced by completing our local supplier capability survey by visiting the below links:
Acknowledgement of Country
Goombi Energy Holdings wish to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of lands on which the project is proposed and their deep and enduring connections to Country and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations Peoples today.
