Community Sponsorship - Round 1 Allocation

Here they are!

The 16 community groups across Miles and Chinchilla set to share $25,000 in the first-ever grants under of our local community sponsorship program have been revealed (see bottom of page).

The inaugural recipients will deliver initiatives including community events, environmental restoration, school breakfast programs, improve access to IT service, mental health and exercises services.

Each recipient will receive between $500 and $3,000 to support their work making a positive difference to local lives.

The even better news is - it’s just the start!

The local sponsorship program will award grants twice a year for the life of the Goombi Renewable Energy Hub project.

It’s just one of a package of community initiatives we’ve developed to share the benefits of the Hub with our local communities who make it possible.

The community sponsorship grants are available to local not-for-profit organisations, associations and clubs that positively contribute to the local community.

Applications for the next round of local sponsorship funding will open in September.

We encourage all local groups to apply!
