LPRP & TSBE Release Goombi Wind Farm Capability Mapping Report
Building local capability and creating opportunities for regional businesses
LPRP and the Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) have worked together to develop a Capability Mapping Register of local and regional businesses with the skills, services and capability to support the construction and operation of the Goombi Wind Farm.
The register provides an overview of the businesses and capabilities available across the region and will help connect local and regional suppliers with potential opportunities as the project progresses.
More than 120 businesses and suppliers have registered their capabilities to date. We thank everyone who has taken the time to participate and provide information about their business.
What’s next?
Procurement packages for the Goombi Wind Farm are anticipated to be released from 2027, providing opportunities for suitably qualified local and regional businesses to participate in the project supply chain.
Local information and industry engagement events will also be held as procurement opportunities approach, providing businesses with further information about upcoming packages, requirements and how they can participate.
Construction is currently anticipated to commence in 2028.
Businesses that have not yet registered their capabilities can still participate. It is not too late to register your business and ensure your capabilities are captured in the register.
